Mollington Golf Club - Local Rules

These are our definitive rules. It is important to study these before you play, so that your game starts out on the right foot - from the first tee.

POINTS TO REMEMBER
Pre-book ALL tee times & check in
Sign members' book before play
No changing shoes in the car park
Competition cut off Thursdays 5pm

1. OUT OF BOUNDS
(a) Over any hedge or fence that forms a boundary of the course
(b) A ball coming to rest within the area defined by the white stakes to the left of hole 1.
(c) Over the White Stakes on the right of the 8th hole

2. WATER HAZARDS (RULE 26)
All ditches and ponds defined by yellow stakes

3. LATERAL WATER HAZARDS (RULE 26)
All areas defined by red stakes

4. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 24-2)
All fixed sprinkler heads, fixed course signs and benches, staked trees, power line
Supports and all artificially surfaced paths are immovable obstructions.

5. MOVEABLE OBSTRUCTIONS (RULE 24-1)
Stones in bunkers are moveable obstructions

6. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (RULE 25)
(a) Play is prohibited from any area marked G.U.R.
(b) All tractor and machinery tyre marks should be treated as G.U.R.
(c) Any newly seeded area or any bare area that is due to course construction work.

7. CONSTRUCTION WORK
A ball striking an overhead power line or any support must be replayed

8. ETIQUETTE
For the benefit of everyone you are reminded to please

(a) Repair ball plug marks on the green
(b) Replace all divots
(c) Rake bunkers
(d) Deposit rubbish into the bins provided on the tees

9. SLOW PLAY
Players are reminded to try to keep up with the game in front and not just in front of
the game behind

10. ISLAND GREEN LOCAL RULE
Any ball striking the green from the tee and running into the surrounding water. Ball should be dropped onto the green at the point where it enters the water. Penalty stroke of 1.

Our main lounge and restaurant can cater for approximately
180-200 guests with an adjoining terrace area which is very
